I took this product to a certified electrician for installation. After making this connection, the circuit breaker tripped. The electrician re-opened the plug, checked his wiring instructions again and found nothing wrong. Then he took out his meter and found that there was a short between the neutral wire and the hot wire. Seeing no obvious short, he installed a second adapter he bought at a hardware store. It was wired exactly the same and the circuit breaker didn't blow. I threw away the adapter because I didn't want Revain to recycle this dangerous piece of junk for another customer.
