Review on Functional Multimeter Capacity Temperature Detector by John Bennett

The latest and greatest USB PD meter works great!

New technology requires testing of new devices. I used to use a USB-A micro-USB tester which worked fine, but now with the advent of USB-C it requires different hardware. This isn't even a new connector, it's the Power Delivery (PD) standard that should be tested. Battery banks are starting to tout this connection and feature, so thorough testing helps. I have a USB-C battery that doesn't support PD, which sucks. It's just a big power bank that can be charged with regular USB current and voltage. There's nothing special about that. I could also get a USB AC cable. I compared laptop charger and laptop with this USB tester and everything was confirmed. I can then use this to compare non-branded products without worrying (so much) about my devices being fried. In our time it is quite possible. The only downside is that the reading is static depending on where the USB plug is. A dongle USB meter works differently, so I can plug it in somewhere and just rotate the display as needed. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. With cables, the wires wear out and cause problems themselves. Absence therefore means fewer sources of problems. The display is easy to read and colorful, which is a big plus. The fonts are a little on the small side and for my old eyes this needs adjusting on my part. Apart from that, it is accurate and easy to use.

Cons
