Useless documentation

Looks like a good tester but the little "instruction sheet" is useless. This tester has many different screens that you can cycle through, all displaying many different numbers - some you can understand but many you can't. I'm not expecting a detailed printed manual at this price point, but at least I'll provide a link to download the REALLY USEFUL documentation that explains the features on each screen. It's pretty much useless without documentation - because you're just looking at lots of…

Maybe add another button?

Great little gadget for an IT pro, very handy! I accidentally pressed a button too many times (or too little?) and changed the language, luckily I accidentally reset it back, but maybe add a button or make the language setting permanent? USB C connected to my portable battery and the mAh capacity stayed at 0 although I could be using it incorrectly? Also, the instructions aren't very clear, they're jumbled up and just don't make much sense, maybe rewriting the instructions will fix my problems,

Useful but not everything I was looking for

This is a simple and useful multimeter for measuring voltage and current when connected to the mains (e.g. between the host charger and the device to be charged) . It's nice and I think the price ($16) is fair. On the other hand, when I found this I was really looking for a device to measure the resistance (continuity) of the data conductors of USB cables. Some cables only charge, while higher quality cables also transmit data. I want to know the difference so I can figure it out and get rid of

Works as promised! Electrical

I bought this to test 3rd party charging hardware I bought for my 2020 MacBook Pro. Apple charges insane amounts for its charging cables. $110 for a three-piece charging kit (power strip, power adapter, and USB-C cable). I can buy the entire setup from a third party for about $40. I wanted a total of three charging systems for my new laptop (which cost well over $2,000) but I didn't want to damage the computer with an incorrect/damaged AC adapter from other brands. This USB power meter tester…

Cute little electrical tester

Seems pretty accurate. The fine print is difficult to read, but it is clear enough to use a small magnifying glass. Just hold down the button and the language will change to English and volts and amperes will become a readable font size. I've tried both USB A and C but I don't have a real C device right now. Both worked fine. I will update this if anything changes. Always remember that most USB-A cables longer than 3 feet will NOT charge your device at full power. If you're not careful to buy…

It's an amazing thing and amazingly versatile

When I first turned my first one on, the text was in Chinese, which is easy to fix by pressing the button to toggle between different screen modes. The second one I got is in English by default and if I hadn't known you can switch between screens I might never have tried to press the button. It has many different screens for different purposes, one is very detailed and the other just shows voltage and current, it's really awesome. I just used it today to check my charger's current draw and it…

The latest and greatest USB PD meter works great!

New technology requires testing of new devices. I used to use a USB-A micro-USB tester which worked fine, but now with the advent of USB-C it requires different hardware. This isn't even a new connector, it's the Power Delivery (PD) standard that should be tested. Battery banks are starting to tout this connection and feature, so thorough testing helps. I have a USB-C battery that doesn't support PD, which sucks. It's just a big power bank that can be charged with regular USB current and…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Without automatic

It would be helpful if the seller or manufacturer provided something reasonable, but I won't hold my breath. There is a nice box with built in foam to store the counter. He did not reset the current readings. when resetting during a power failure. I returned it. These are the instructions decoded and checked for correctness: __________________________________________________________________________________________ Complete the connection according to figure 2 above. Under the condition of…
