Pro out, sub pro in, extension cord saves the day - if sold

First impression: 5/5 stars no mic. I was really looking forward to that. On Windows 10 it worked from a package. I plugged it in, plugged in my headphones and no hiss. Again: no hiss. Apparently they fixed this in their July 2017 patch. On all my headphones, old and new, with and without a microphone, they all work well. Until I try to write. Substudio recording at the price of pro gear: -1 star So when the description said "24-bit/96kHz" audio, I was expecting the audio to be "24-bit/96kHz" both ways. is. Unfortunately, this only applies to the output. The input (microphone) is limited to 2 channels, 16-bit, 44 kHz (DVD quality). Admittedly it's a respectable contribution - that it already has two channels is a sigh of relief (that would be a deal breaker), but for its price new it should have studio quality recording quality. in any $10-$20 USB sound card: -1 star. The other odd thing is that you can literally select every single built-in or USB audio device specifically which enhancements to enable (echo cancellation, noise reduction, etc.). This card only has a checkbox "Enable sound enhancements" in the control panel, it doesn't tell you what to enable or disable. his contribution to the studio, and that's understandable. What isn't clear is whether the Creative Support driver and downloading the "X-Plus" pack actually do more for performance (as they claim) or are they redundant with just the Windows driver and minimal audio capabilities for Do some popular games add to the cost of installing stat-ware on your computer? The descriptions are heavily inflated with promotional language and there are no screenshots or anything specific to rely on. Will have to refuse. At least I can use my nearby USB socket: +1 star. It's odd that most other USB audio devices don't have a narrow cable, preferring to have a very wide device that blocks adjacent USB ports. It doesn't matter if I want access to all my USB ports, something that pulls and pulls definitely needs a cable. Excellent work! Summary: 3/5 stars Excellent score and I would happily pay them double if it was clear that it would satisfy my secondary need for a good studio quality recording, but none of their devices indicate their recording quality anyway. the basic specification of what a sound card does. I can still find a use for it, but I'm just frustrated that one of the game's oldest veterans can't even get the XP-era control panel menus right. Good thing it was "on sale".
