Review on 🍳 Nordic Ware Non-Stick Two Burner Griddle, 10.3 x 17.4 inches by Casey Oliver

Excellent value for money

Our 18" Circulon nonstick pan has been around for years, but now it's becoming increasingly difficult to clean. Reviews of available substitutes did not inspire confidence. - Iron Skillet We have other Lodge black iron cookware and love it, but the Lodge skillet wasn't a good choice. She's finicky and EVERYTHING burns (after "seasoning") no matter what; might be suitable for camping but has no kitchen space (we haven't tried the ribbed bottom for steaks/chops yet). Out of frustration, I bought this Nordic Ware 17.5-inch pan for less than $20. It's little more than a lightweight aluminum baking sheet and I wasn't expecting much. Surprise! Good product! Ideal for cooking grated potatoes, bacon, slices. (I haven't tried the eggs yet.) You can have a lot of breakfast there. The non-stick surface cleans well and there are no hidden corners or grease storage grooves like Circulon. Tip: do not overcook! We have gas burners of various sizes and it is advisable to set both burners to the same heat setting, medium and hottest. Take your time! Shredded potatoes cook beautifully, crispy golden, over medium-high heat with corn oil (and, when Mom's not looking, butter). I've warped more aluminum pans than I can count from overheating, uneven heat, or rinsing in cold water too quickly. No metal utensils, of course, and a little ammonia will degrease the pan without vigorous rubbing. Tip #2: Some corn oil has burned into the shiny aluminum base of the Nordic Ware pan. (How? I have no idea.) Comet cleaning paste didn't help to remove it. However, the bartender's friend cleaned it well. If we outlive this skillet a few years, we'll come out on top. Another great purchase.
