I use this as a basic cooling thermostat; Turn on the fan when the air temperature exceeds the threshold. Installation was easy. I made my own custom mounts. I cut an old computer power cord in two to connect 120VAC to this unit and the fan. As mentioned, I had to play around with the cyclic menu system to get the settings I wanted. The air temperature (inside the data cabinet) changes slowly so I'll need some hands-on experience to see if it does what I want, but I think the fault will be with me as the programmer and not with the device itself.
