I love Kreg screws for softwoods and synthetics. but hardwoods are difficult to handle. *real* solid wood. I live in Brazil and some of the woods we use for woodworking are among the top ten hardest woods in the world. These screws work better than the "regular" softwood screws, but even they have trouble overcoming the resistance of hardwood, but work in most cases. The downsides are that I only found 91 screws out of the estimated 100 I would have. The 9% error in the count seems a bit high for consumables.
