Review on 🔀 Upgraded Broan 433 Automatic Shutter for Enhanced 353 and 35316 Gable Mount Attic Ventilator with Smart S.E.O Features by Bud Crabtree

I used these blinds in a greenhouse. In my application I had to release about 2500 cfm. To get adequate air intake for this volume, I calculated that I would need two 16 inch louvers. I carefully studied the reviews of this device and it seemed to me that there are some general quality issues that I have to worry about. Both locally and at Revain, however, those big blinds are few and far between. I wasn't interested in paying big bucks for automatic shutters or branded greenhouse shutters. Since there weren't any other great options, I decided to click these. Having used them for a few months I generally agree with the 4 star reviews. Let's start with the "bad" things. The build quality isn't the most amazing. There are no continuous welds on the corners of the blinds, and it seems that this problem will not be difficult to solve. You have to be a little careful not to break them, which can easily happen. This isn't a huge issue once installed, but I'd expect a little more considering how much you're paying for it. Also, they are not very good at distributing the rainwater that collects at the bottom of the outward-facing blinds. I've decided to install a dripper to help with this, but that's not ideal either. Finally, no mounting hardware is included with the blinds, so you can mount the unit yourself in your installation. As for the good, these blinds have something for them. They are lightweight and quite easy to open once you have enough airflow. I was very happy to see them open in my application as I had no idea if I had enough airflow and tightness for them to work properly. I also had no trouble closing them completely. They are very attractive both inside and out. They also go quite well with my slotted fans in my greenhouse. They protect my greenhouse well from rain and colder ambient air, at least when the wind isn't blowing too hard and accidentally opening the shutters. They probably can't be trusted in very cold temperatures, but I'm not particularly concerned about that. Overall, that's a pretty solid 4 stars for me. Not perfect but they have held up and do what I need. I would still buy it again, even with the flaws I found.
