I installed two of these and they work. Actually, I have no problem with the supplied hardware. It's not the best, but I don't use them on my heavier mountain bike, so they seem to fit road bikes and such. My biggest problem is the traction system. It's really quite picky. The two pulleys don't move coaxially, so you're always pushing higher in the front or the back. Whether he has a bike or not. The hooks for holding the bike aren't the greatest either. They're more or less straight hooks and they just sit there on the back seat of my bike. Doesn't give me the greatest confidence while waiting. If the hooks were more curved to dig under the seat it would be better.
