Not worth the risk - potholders and oven mitts

Very disappointed with these oven mitts. They came with a very strong musty smell but after I washed them the smell went away. The surface of these potholders is smooth, which makes them slippery. When I poured a full pot of boiling hot pasta water, the pot actually slipped out of my hands, luckily into the sink instead of on top of me so I didn't burn myself. I strongly advise against buying those dangerous pot holders.
