I was gifted a pair of scissors with the fabric and I loved them so much I thought I'd buy a pair or two as I usually have a couple of embroidery projects and also one next to my sewing machine. I went to a well known craft and sewing store and the scissors they had were too big and bulky. I found these which appear to be identical to the pair I received as a giveaway. The price is great, the size is perfect and the scissors work perfectly. I had no issues with them not being able to cut thread, yarn or even fabric. I don't use them like scissors to cut things. I like plastic sleeves to keep the dots away when storing my embroidery projects. They appear to have some type of oil on them, probably to prevent rust, which I wiped off and have had no problems with.
