The bowl is plastic and will melt.
I added some Magic Mystery Oil to try and rid my 80 year old tractor of dirt. The next day the entire gas tank in the bottom was leaking. The culprit was the swamp, which completely melted and turned into jelly. I would recommend buying one with a real glass bowl.
