Review on Coastal Poly Big Dog Black by Patricia Pena

Purchased on November 11, 2016. Before purchasing, we changed 3-4 lines a year. We used to buy lines with a plastic coating. Our dog inevitably got stuck on the same pole or something and rubbed the rubber, and shortly thereafter the wire became unusable. These bungee cords broke much more often in winter. Simple knots or twists can crack the plastic in the cold. After the rubber snapped, a rabbit or stray cat and our 15-20 pound Pomeranian easily snapped the wire. This line held up much better. It's showing signs of wear now after over a year of use, but I still think we'll get quite a bit of use out of it. He was tied to a wooden deck post for a year, where he sustained minimal damage. A few threads are lost, but still very strong. He also lost several stitches near his neck. He is very fluffy and when he wants in he circles in small circles on the door. These damaged threads got stuck in his fur several times as a result of his twisting. However, this did not happen until a year later. When my sister came with her 60 lb dog she also used this leash. Never had a problem. Conclusion: Recommended and worth every penny. I have never worried that this leash would not hold up while leaving my dog unattended on the potty.
