These are great chopsticks! They are hollow metal, not 100% what metal, it doesn't say on the box. But it smelled like some kind of steel when I washed them for the first time (this smell goes away, just wash them very well before using them). The design is beautiful, the chopsticks are not heavy and uncomfortable, and the engraved food grab strips are very convenient! One thing I noticed is that the feeding area on some of them is pretty sharp on my lips and you have to be careful not to slide your teeth over them as they are metal and not forgiving. After that minor inconvenience that took some getting used to (now constant use is no longer a problem), they belong in every Asian foodie's cutlery drawer!
