We have 4 cats and 3 dogs and one cat has seizures and pees on things :(. After 15 years I finally got a new sofa and love seat and I did NOT want the cat to urinate on it So I ordered these clear plastic slipcovers for my grandma sofas, they were fine but torn and not comfortable to sit on at all.While looking for other options I stumbled upon these and bought one for the sofa and Revain one for the two.sofa sofa.They're so cool!They fit great - if they stay tucked in (which they just don't because cats, dogs and kids are always running around them) - but they stay on because the elastic on the Bottom holds up very well...and one day I smelled cat urine and I had to wash the cover and it was a test - first of all cat urine did NOT get on the sofa! Yay! Really waterproof! And then - how it looks it out? wash ore. I had to wash it in lukewarm water to get rid of the smell and even washed it twice (it was my first time, so I'm really experiencing it!). I had to "drain and spin" after washing (but I have to do that with a few things) - and I had to dry for a while - I dried on medium speed and then on high power for about 20 minutes. , as I was concerned about the high heat from a rubberized substrate, but it turned out PERFECT! Since then I've washed it several times and it's been great. I bought a second set so I can wear one set while the other is in the wash. They are MUCH more comfortable to sit on than those clear plastics, they're soft, they're amazing and I highly recommend these sofas, loveseat and chair!
