Too good to be true

The design looked perfect when I saw it, space saving option to replace a large heavy bag stand. Installing it took using some extra wood. Luckily I had some on hand but if you have to buy it, it makes it worth looking at slightly more pricy options. I installed it in my garage so I had to use 2x4s to reach stud to stud and then install it in them like I saw another reviewer had done.I’ve had it a month and from first use the weight of the bag makes it incredibly hard to fold in and out when using it or putting it away. The bolt does not slide in correctly to hold it in place cause the weight seems to bend the bottom plate slightly. I’m just putting it through the top while when hitting it now. Then the spring is so long that you have to install this so high to have it at a good height for the bag to hang. I am thinking of getting a shorter replacement spring but I worry that the huge spring is necessary to keep the strain off the mount or the wall. When it’s installed it’s so high you have to use step stool to adjust the bolt. My heavy bag has material straps that it hangs from but my previous was chains so if you have chains that might help with this issue. The design idea is great and would love to find a version that works but this one just doesn’t.
