Review on ⚡ DC Voltage Regulator Buck Converter: Step Down 24V to 12V, 10A 120W Power Converter Mini Module Transformer by Justin Sherman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mighty mouse. Give me 5 volts!

I have a very densely packed home file server that is really pushing the envelope and power supply limits. In this server I have 36 HDS723030ALA640 Hitachi 3.5 inch hard drives and a Rosewill Tachyon 1000W PSU to get an idea. While the Tachyon has a big fat 83A 12V rail, it only has an anemic 20A 5V rail. My solution was to buy 3 of these DC-DC converters, each connected to a 12V rail and independent 5V rails (driven from an 83A 12V DC bus), an ATX /GPU input and 12 SATA power connectors with silicon wiring on the other side (connects to both original 12V supply and 5V output) 12 HDS723030ALA640, some more free space I'm paranoid, they in a computer application with dozens a lot more expensive hard drives to use, but after a few benchmarks with crappy EOL drives and carefully monitoring the output and then displaying the output on the spade/fun shop digital visor, I finally got it into production. so tiny but so powerful. I love these converters!
