I swapped on some somewhat wider tires that came with the car and was still victorious. Tires make it possible to "screw" into a turn without losing control (though not your head). The roads in the city are terrible (like most), and I've flown into serious pits without any ill effects, which, on profile 45, would be the premature end of most tires. This is my recommendation to everyone. To a certain degree!
