I've only had the TRENDnet router a few weeks so I can't speak to long term reliability. However, I had no problem installing or configuring the router for both 2.5GHz and 5GHz. I also set up a guest account, which works great. Non-scientific experiments show better range than my old Cisco/Lynksys router. Something like a router should be reliable and just plain boring, which in this case it was. I see that many reviewers have had serious problems with their routers. I wonder if some of these people are venting their frustration and anger for nothing—perhaps, like me, they have ISP or modem problems. I switched from DSL to cable internet (plus a TRENDnet router) less than a month ago and my connection was down about 30% of the time. My only choice for broadband was some cable company (rhymes with bombast), and I hated them. Aren't monopolies great? For example, this cable company has an interesting policy: once connected, the agent can't do anything with or from your account. Therefore, to get help, you will have to wait for his death. And then they blame everything but their gear. If this router has problems in the future, I will change my review.
