I have three of these in use. Two of these were used in the freezers in my barn, which we don't open every day but do visit the barn daily. They seem to do an excellent job of controlling the inside and outside temperature. Two things I would change: I want the volume to be louder and I want it to be a constant alert. In this form, they work mainly when the freezer is in the village. But they only beep a few seconds per minute, so you'll have to stick around or look at them visually and read the temperature. But it saves you the hassle of having to open the freezer to make sure it's working. If you leave the door open when stowing or taking out, you can expect the alarm to go off, but you can turn off the alarm. Just don't forget to turn it back on! All in all after almost a year of use I would say it's easy and money well spent.
