Review on HSB524 2006 2011 Honda Speaker Adaptor by Jason Winkfield

Honda Civic DX Sedan 2010. Replacing the standard speaker with speakers of the same size 6.5 inch Pioneer. The adapters work, but some modifications are required to install the specific speaker in the car. I replaced a same size speaker with a higher quality 6.5, adapters are needed to install the speaker and use the OEM hole that is correct, there is only one hole to attach the bracket. The mount also needs to be installed in a specific way to fit the existing vehicle opening. MAKE SURE YOU CUT THE RING SO THE SPEAKER IS FLAT! This can be done with pliers by simply bending and snapping off the plastic tab. I had to delete them all! Next you need to re-drill the holes for mounting the speaker. Just be careful not to slip and damage the speaker. Once the adapters and speakers are connected, they can be installed in the vehicle. I had to use a fairly long thin screw to secure it. Now all you have to do is connect the speaker cables (don't forget the polarity). As I said, these adapters work and the quality is as expected. You will most likely need to make some minor changes to make it work in your application.
