Significant improvement in suspension

I used these sway bars on the front coil springs on my 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6. With almost 120,000 km on the vehicle, the spring strut change is overdue. At the same time, I decided to lower the car and installed Eibach Pro lowering springs with Monroe struts. This combination made the ride WAY too springy, with little to no front spring damping. This meant that the suspension sagged even with the smallest bumps in the road surface. These sway bars probably improved damping by 150% and the car now feels better than the factory (which was also too docile). The suspension still hangs over big bumps, but that's to be expected given the car's lowering. These parts are made out of some kind of hard urethane material, so I was a little worried they might be brittle. They've been in the car for about two months now and they're a lot stronger than they first appear. The installation instructions that come with the kit are a bit difficult to understand. They refer to installation tools that no one in my area has heard of and the diagrams are vague when describing the front and back of the car. I installed the stabilizer bars on the outside of the front springs towards the front of the car ±45° offset from the centerline of the front bracket. Note that the anti-roll bars will not fit into a coil spring unless the springs are removed from the vehicle. I used a twist-on metal spring spacer ($10 for 4 at a local auto parts store) to spread the coils, then snapped the stabilizers into place and removed the metal spacers. I left out the lower coil because I didn't want to completely destroy the effect of the lowering springs. The ride height has been increased by approximately 1/4", which is still the same as the factory 3/4" reduction. A few installation notes: 1. You will need a way to SAFELY spread the coils for installation (spring compression used in reverse will not work unless the spring is removed from the vehicle)2. Assemble the anti-roll bars to the FRONT edges of the springs (applies to both front and rear springs)3. Install TWO sway bars on the spring (no more, no less) 4. Rotate 45° INSIDE of centerline front to back to install LOWER sway bar5. Skip the LOWER coil if you don't want to significantly increase your ride height6. Run ONE coil between stabilizers7. Rotate OUT 45° from front to rear centerline to install UPPER stabilizer (note that stabilizers are 90° apart)8. The entire setup per spring takes about 15-20 minutes (after spending 1-2 hours figuring out the first one ;-)) I almost gave up on this car due to the lack of suspension options in the aftermarket and aftermarket The ride was totally unbearable. Now I can drive again without getting seasick from all the jumping. These sway bars are a great, inexpensive way to improve a rider's everyday ride if you don't want to spend thousands on custom suspension tuning.
