Review on CURT 45522 Class Ball Mount by Michael Cooper

The rod is a SOLID piece of steel, not hollow. The enamel paint is a bit thick and I had to use sandpaper to get it into the new/uninstalled receiver. I didn't have to grind the metal. It arrived in a used box so I suspect it was sold to someone else and they didn't fit it so they sent it back to Revain who then resold it to me. It arrived in new and unused condition. I'm giving it 4 stars ONLY because I had to sand down the paint to make it match. I have another new pole and it fits the receiver exactly. When I measure it, it's slightly larger than the spec says (about the thickness of a sheet of paper).
