DEPENDABLE STRENGTH. This ball hitch is constructed from high-strength steel and is rated to tow up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight (limited to lowest-rated towing component). VERSATILE USE. This trailer hitch ball mount comes with a 1-1/4-inch x 1-1/4-inch shank to fit virtually any industry-standard 1-1/4-inch receiver. The ball mount also has a 3-1/8-inch rise to promote level towing. READY TO TOW. Hitching up your trailer is easy with this 1-1/4 ball mount. It features a 3/4-inch hole to accept a trailer hitch ball with a 3/4-inch diameter shank (trailer ball sold separately). CORROSION-RESISTANT. For long-lasting use, this ball hitch is protected with a durable black powder coat finish, easily resisting damage from rain, dirt, snow, road salt and other corrosive threats. EASY TO INSTALL. Better packaging will help reduce rust

This is a very durable product. Kurt makes great stuff, I just wish the packaging was a little better because everything I get from them always seems to be well made but with a little chipped paint here or there. Fast forward a few months and it will show rust spots. It's cosmetic, but I like cleanliness, you know?

Photos don't do it justice

The rod is a SOLID piece of steel, not hollow. The enamel paint is a bit thick and I had to use sandpaper to get it into the new/uninstalled receiver. I didn't have to grind the metal. It arrived in a used box so I suspect it was sold to someone else and they didn't fit it so they sent it back to Revain who then resold it to me. It arrived in new and unused condition. I'm giving it 4 stars ONLY because I had to sand down the paint to make it match. I have another new pole and it fits the…

1 " out of spec and poor quality

Curt Manufacturing has specified that the pitch should be 3 1/8" from the top of the square bar to the top of the mounting plate, but is the ACTUAL pitch for this size 4 1/8 inches. At first I thought they sent the wrong part, but it was even marked as 3 1/8" Rise and had the correct part number. In addition to the 1" deviation from normal, the plate was welded at an angle to the stem ( not parallel) and there was contamination on the disc which could be seen in several places by chipping and…
