Didn't work on steel pipes.

Might cut the exhaust pipe but will barely scratch the surface of a 2.5" diameter 1/8" thick steel pipe after 15 minutes with coolant. Then I used a hacksaw - sawed through in 15 minutes. Then I used the saw for another cut - much easier, it took about 5 minutes.
