Great variety with a few new tricks

I still have a few books about men's sweaters. It has a nice variety - a nice twist on some classic men's styles. There are 11 sweater/sweater designs, 1 vest, 1 pair of socks, 3 hats and 1 scarf for men. Most sweaters require a US size 4 to 8 needle. There is only one project that requires a US size 10.5. They cover a variety of techniques from basic stripes and textured stitches to intarsia, stockinette stitches, chain stitch/mosaic, regular and flirty, double breasted, etc. Sweaters, T-muscles, toys, socks, sofa, bed, saddlebag - 17 projects . Even if I don't have a dog I'll probably try some of these dog models anyway and maybe adapt some for cats. There is a good section on methods and sizing charts for both males and dogs. Special techniques are described, including knitting with a short row, circular knitting on 2 circular knitting needles and knitting cables without an auxiliary needle. The cable trick is really helpful as I'm working on an Aran sweater. This trick allows me to make cables faster. Annie Modesitt also invented a special stitch to create the dreadlocks pictured on the cover. I might use it for the fringes of my next scarf. The book also includes quotes from men who knit. This book is definitely a discovery for me. Annie Modesitt also invented a special stitch to make the dreadlocks pictured on the cover. I might use it for the fringes of my next scarf.
