I noticed that all knitting books for men were bought by women (usually wives/partners). I wanted something for my son who is good at knitting and has a loyal corgi. This book is great BUT it has useful patterns for sweaters, hats and vests, and silly dog stuff. The models are all male and he can use this book without fear of estrogen contamination. Come on, laugh - these men don't care!

I love this book! It is so easy. I love dogs (how did the photographer get them?), I love looking at handsome male models (like "take it home to meet people") and most of all I love patterns. I still have a few books about men's sweaters. It has a nice variety - a nice twist on some classic men's styles. There are 11 sweater/sweater designs, 1 vest, 1 pair of socks, 3 hats and 1 scarf for men. Most sweaters require a US size 4 to 8 needle. There is only one project that requires a US size 10.5.
