Great tripod. Strong, strong and big. The tripod head keeps my 9 pound camcorder secure and stable, as well as my 7 inch monitor and shotgun mic, and the multi-directional quick-attach is a great feature. I don't have to worry about panning over. And yes, I know a lot of videographers don't recommend tripod heads like this for video work, but I like having TWO handles on the tripod head instead of just one. can be found on most liquid head tripods as it gives me better control over panning. I film a lot of dance performances and need to be able to change direction on the fly without accidentally panning too far from side to side. This allows me to keep the dancers in the center of the frame most of the time, covering them from head to toe as they move back and forth, back and forth across the floor - a la Fred Astaire's requirement that each dancer's entire body be in the frame I need my footage to "breathe" with the dancers' movements as they contract and expand, and this tripod allows me to do just that. I've tried several others that were much more expensive, but this one beats it by a mile. My latest SLIK PRO 3-way pan head tripod served me well for 38 years before it died and I'm sure this tripod will follow in its footsteps.
