I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality and ease of use. We have prepared several fried dishes and we really like the lid. The pan is great for very quick searing of sliced beef and melted cheese for cheese steak sandwiches. 4 stars because we've only been using it for a few weeks so not sure about durability. Be sure to use silicone tongs and utensils. We have an old traditional well aged wok but wanted an extra frying pan. I still love this pan and have now given it away. He's been the workhorse of the kitchen for two years. It's great as a stir-fry wok, but I use it more often for braising and adding certain veggies for quick steaming. The lid is great. Throw these mixtures over al dente pasta and you have a very quick vegetarian dish. I agree it's heavy, but it wears well. No signs of deterioration. You need good silicone utensils.
