Not for pet owners Suitable for HEPA air purifiers

Models? At first glance, the car looks like standard Blueair styling. I have the Blueair121 and 211+, they both look good, are pretty quiet and pick up an incredible amount of dust and cat hair from the atmosphere. Blueair's standard design is a powerful fan on a metal box with a filter inside and a nylon sleeve outside. The cover versions of the Blueair 411 do not have a metal housing. You buy a small filter fan with a cloth sleeve on the outside. This makes the device incredibly light, but I doubt its effectiveness for the job. The fan is very quiet, almost imperceptible. Air movement at the top at the highest settings is barely noticeable from two feet away. You can feel a flow of air from the side of the fabric, but the suction isn't strong enough to pick up large particles like cat fluff. For me 411 is not reliable enough. With two fluffy cats, I need an air purifier that can capture cat fluff and dander. Size 411 has no suction. It's quieter and smaller, but can't pick up particles like the 211. In a large "small" room, I wonder how its automatic feature will ever come into play. If you are not a pet owner and have a very small room, 411 is a nice little air purifier. Just note that the fan is small and the lidded versions don't have a metal filter canister.

Cons
  • So far, so good
