Review on πŸ“· Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G Lens with Auto Focus: Perfect for Nikon DSLR Cameras by Jun Bak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

I bought it probably in 2022 - I'm still happy. Of course, at a fully open aperture, the focus point is a few millimeters and it’s good to limp sometimes, but these are nitpicking. Fix - he is a fix - you have to work with your feet. Primary working lens. On crop, the focal length is good. In my opinion, the only drawback of this lens is the long focusing distance, but this is not a macro lens either. Now I'm licking my lips what year on Makrik Fix 105.

Pros
  • bokeh, aperture
Cons
  • Everything suits me. But when buying, check - out of two lenses in the store, one was lame. Sometimes the motor crawls, but never focuses.

Has some pros Aperture, bokeh, color reproduction, almost no XA, normal work on mine from f1.8 (I think this is very good) Got cons: Lack of VR (noticeable after using zooms with VR, VR2) shooting at f-1,4 is a big problem, autofocus is slightly slow (but I think it’s not scary for a portrait lens)

I took it for portraits - it fulfills its task 100% noticed that the main -95% travel of the focusing ring - lies within 0.45 -3 meters - at these distances from the object it works perfectly.

Perhaps the most adequate fix for beginners and not only.
