I got my first glass top stove in 1993 and just used the scraper and cleaner that came with it. They didn't do a very good job, but I thought so be it. I moved into a new house three years ago. The previous owner, who was a bit of an idiot, took the stove when it should have stayed. Since I had already decided to buy a new dishwasher in addition to the fridge, I immediately bought a new stove with a glass top. It came with the same old cleaner but with a new type of scraper which was awful. After going through a few of these I decided to give the Werxrite RetraGuard Razor Blade Scraper Tool a try. What a world of difference! It's a good, solid instrument that feels good in my hand. The blades are easy to swap out and retract cleanly for safety (which wasn't the case with the previous scraper). And let's talk about cleaning! Cleaning my oven is easy. I used to have to make a real effort to scrape some things and often they didn't even touch it. Werxrite is ideal for scraping without requiring a lot of pressure. I want to fit more in the garage, bathroom, basement, office, etc. so I can make sure it's always on hand when I need it.
