We're still working! - Dogs

We have a 75lb Aussie Pyr 1 year old with incredible agility who loves jumping fences and it has worked so far! We have a height of 39 inches, so he can't jump over it. It can slide right over our 29 inch gates. We've had it for about two months and so far he hasn't jumped or even tried to jump over it. I'm not sure if it's because of the height because they're new or because the space they guard is less interesting than the other one, but I've thought about buying others to replace our shorter gate . I like the glow in the dark feature. It's not as bright as I'd like and it feels tacky, but it's definitely noticeable at night when it's dark in the hallway. I also like the two-way swing and the automatic closure since it's a corridor. Opening with one hand is a little tricky as you have to pull the gate to open it. I may have to buy a pedal to mount it. It was an absolute pain to put on and it required two people as you have to use a wrench to turn the turnbuckle retaining bolts on each side. I really didn't like it, but once it's in place it won't move often. My other Carson gates have handy handles to hold them and I can install them myself. The gate also feels very brittle and will flex back and forth under pressure, but feels strong enough to take the beating of our Aussie Peer and 50-pound husky. I don't have kids and don't use it often so I'm not sure if it's heavy or long term use. I wish they had a cat door option but I guess you can't get everything. Overall, this is a pretty good goal with unique features and it's hard to find one that's 39" and black.
