Spend the extra money on Toyota Genuine Parts

First I put Moog upper and lower control arms on my '99 Ram 1500 work truck a few years ago and they were amazing so I thought rather than just buy new bushings and dealer ball joints for my Tacoma 09 which currently has 214,000 miles on it, I just spent about a hundred dollars less and installed them on my Tacoma: At first the creaking was horrible right after installation, then over the next few years days every time , whenever I hit a speed bump, pothole, or curb to pull into my driveway, regardless of speed, there was a hard hit coming from the front, so after about the fifth time I crawled under to explore The "body" around the ball joint was, so to speak, all scratched and without an edge ski, and I noticed that de r knuckle was damaged I couldn't figure out how that could happen until I plowed the factory control lever m into the trash and measured the ball joint there, it turned out to be a half inch narrower than the factory moogs. Not a big deal, although I got under the mill and modified it to stop. Now I have mine which has been running for 3 months now they have about 7000 miles on them, climbed the other day to change the fluid in the transfer case and found the bushings were already starting to crack and fall apart, and drove and drove better from the start. with 10 year old factory parts that have never been changed. So now I have genuine Toyota parts and will be changing the ball joints and bushings on both sides this weekend. moral of this story. Save your money and buy parts that are designed for your car, otherwise you will spend twice as much money and twice as much time.
