It installs easily and seems to work as advertised. I would caution against driving without a jack. Although the company encourages it, I have contacted the manufacturers of two trailers I own and both have suggested that at the very least jack-less driving or larger trailers are not offered. As a person whose trailer came off the tractor, I agree. The skid plate on the jack kept the trailer from hitting the road, so I was able to safely move the trailer out of the way and stop. In any case, the jack protects my tailgate from damage caused by the jack!
