Allows the back door to be opened.

Finally the Jeep Wrangler's tailgate can be opened wide enough for access when docked to our casita. It is much quicker to remove and install than turning the jack all the way. The only downside is that it moves a little when rolling a trailer on a jacked up wheel. I would like to find a better way to backup.

Make way for our swing door SUV.

We have a 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser and we're towing a camper trailer with it. The Jack-E-Up allows us to open the tailgate almost completely to access objects in the rear while driving without unhitching the trailer. It was pretty easy to install and very durable. Certainly better than coming up with your own solution.

Works great!

After purchasing the new Ram 1500 we had issues with not being able to access the back of the truck. The tailgates of these new trucks are higher and many of them ended up in a nest on top of our trailer. 15 minutes to install this Jack-E-Up. I have to say it works as advertised. I like having access to the truck when the camper is attached. I highly recommend this product.

Works as advertised

This is a solid piece. I am happy with the assembly and hardware. I had to turn it several times before I found that it would fit into the mounting bolt holes on my 5.5 x 10' jack; but it happened. And it rolled nice and tight. For me, being able to lower the tailgate with a trailer attached is a guarantee that we as a society are moving in the right direction.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

All my jack problems solved

Absolutely amazing product. Prevents bending of the jack and trailer jack bracket. Now I can open the tailgate all the way without touching the jack. I now have increased ground clearance for my off-road trailer. I take the jack off my trailer and put the tongue on blocks to deter theft. If I could give ten stars I would. I buy more for my other followers.

Easy installation, works great!

Installation was easy - I watched the manufacturer's video twice. The only small issue was that the powder coating on the parts was too thick and I had to sand it down a bit to get the parts to slide together. Other than that, it works great and I can rest assured that my F150's tailgate will not suffer any costly damage. Note. I've tried sending a message to the manufacturer about this, but their site tires aren't very helpful.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not the best

Great for tailgate protection.

It installs easily and seems to work as advertised. I would caution against driving without a jack. Although the company encourages it, I have contacted the manufacturers of two trailers I own and both have suggested that at the very least jack-less driving or larger trailers are not offered. As a person whose trailer came off the tractor, I agree. The skid plate on the jack kept the trailer from hitting the road, so I was able to safely move the trailer out of the way and stop. In any case…

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good

Great idea and very useful, but BE CAREFUL!

I like the whole idea and it works in terms of both installation and operation. Just be aware that if you use this with a wheel at the base of the jack it will shift and be very crooked at the collar. My problem is that I need to be able to push and move my trailer into the garage and then pull it out. My partner and I put the bolts in both directions, no matter if the plate was crooked in the body. When it first happened I thought it would end on earth. We were able to move it but if I shoot…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required
