I got this for my golden puppy purely because our first trip to the vet was an absolute disaster. He was repeatedly crawling into my lap and it was a hazard. This assisted me in training him to stay in "his” seat for car rides. It has the bonus feature of keeping him in the vehicle when he wants to hang his entire body out the window.It seems well made, I’ve fortunately never tested its abilities in a wreck, but it’s better than nothing I’d think (we can’t crate him in our vehicle). It has a latch clip and a seatbelt clip that just goes into where you would normally put the buckle. In a pinch it also works as a leash if you go to the dog park and forget to bring one.
