A few months ago I bought some of these cables to attach the cover to my truck. The good news is that they were under light stress and worked very well. They are very easy to set up and use. The bad news is they've been out in sunny Florida for 4 months now bragging about it. Rust is seeping through the covers on the hooks, the colors have faded and the cords are just beginning to lose their latch. I really like these cables but wish they could handle the weather better. UPDATE: It's been almost 5 months now and the cords are falling apart and losing their elasticity. I doubt they will survive 6 months in full sun.
