I've weighed the pros and cons: I like the adjustability and the upper is attractive. Hooks are made of dense plastic. The flat design makes these elastic cords easy to fold and store in your glove box, tool box or backpack. Most bungee cords are round in shape, which isn't always practical, and they tend to slip and slide a lot more than flat straps.
