Not as sturdy as I thought

I purchased this because I wanted to trim the top of my tumblers. I don't find that it works great for that, but it does work. The pencil holder, joke. No matter how much I tighten the screw, it is wobbly. It is difficult to get a straight line. The pencil doesn't stay in place.
