Not my favourite. for velcro discs

I actually had to call Mirka to find out why this particular model number was cheaper than any of the other models which appear to be exactly the same. Unfortunately I can't remember the different model number (since I ordered it last fall) but it's practically the same product but the Mirka website doesn't say anything about their differences. Drives with other model numbers (which are slightly more expensive at $4-$5 for $100) are found separately in their packaging, unlike these drives, which are all taped in place. You pull on the tape and the next disc of sandpaper is created. Personally I prefer the free version and pay extra bucks because sometimes the edge of this disc gets stuck as it comes out of the top of the box and if I keep dragging and think they'll eventually come out I can actually crumple the disc (like me I often do) and when that happens, it's difficult to get it perfectly flat on the sticky pad. It's minor, but it's still confusing. Perhaps many find them more effective, so to each his own.

Pros
  • velcro discs
