Review on ๐Ÿด KitchenAid KFEW6L Flex Edge Beater - 6-Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixers (White) by Chris Chincuanco

Works surprisingly well

I bought a cheaper but good quality non-KitchenAid metal whip. It had silicone/rubber on both sides of the paddle. It seemed to work better than Kitchenaid. Surprisingly, this isn't the case, and Kitchenaid works much better. The third-party whisk looks just like a regular Kitchenaid whisk, except for the silicone on both edges. Turns out it doesn't work well. If you're trying to mash something like guacamole, the flexible lip just presses down on the avocado instead of slicing it, rather than mashing it. A standard whisk with no flexible rim worked surprisingly well. Apparently the avocado sticks a bit to the sides of the stainless steel bowl as the whisk goes past, tearing, slicing or slicing. The only problem is that a thin slice of avocado can stick to the edge and not move. KitchenAid's flexible whisk is up to any occasion. The flexible rim cleans the side of the bowl while the rigid rim is for slicing/kneading/slicing ingredients like avocados. Bottom Line: This flexible edger works really well with everything I've tried so far. A regular whisk with inflexible edges also works very well. Surprisingly, a third-party flexible-rimmed whisk didn't work either. Remarkably, the third-party flexible-edged whip began cracking and tearing after just a few uses. I'll update this review if I see anything similar happening with this one. So far, so good. The price of this item varies widely, so if it's near the bottom of the price range rather than its peak, it's worth waiting to catch.
