A solid screwdriver with a nice grip and some nice touches like a leather cap and a hex bead.

I have LOTS of wooden handle screwdrivers - I love wooden handle screwdrivers. I love old vintage wooden handle screwdrivers and this passion has led us to try new offerings and compare/contrast the quality of what they used to be with what they have become. I work with wood and find use for all types and sizes of screwdrivers and sometimes I need a softer/malleable screwdriver when working with brass and sometimes I need a harder metal in my screwdriver when working with a stainless steel screw or a harder compound work. . I have wooden grips from Grace, Top (Japanese brand) and old Stanley drivers, among others. What I like about this screwdriver: - The configuration/shape and size/circumference of the handle. Felo took the time to create a handle with lots of contours/notches and they did this to improve grip when pulling down on the handle. The round knobs sometimes slip in your hand and are awkward to hold/turn with little effort, and the Felo design is nice too. I still think my pens have a slightly different shape/contour than shown here in the ad, but they are still good. Full shank design that runs through the entire handle. This increases the strength and stability of the screwdriver and ensures that the screwdriver will last for many years. It also provides more torque when needed.- Hardened Chrome Vanadium Shafts - These are very strong and durable shafts with hardened tips. But the same thing that makes them tough also makes them a screwdriver, which I probably wouldn't reach for when I need more finesse - for brass screws, for example. These rods can be so hard that they're likely to damage the screw head before they damage the tip, but this was a design decision and you should know which screwdriver is best for which task. Designed to be strong and durable, they're probably not the first screwdriver you'll turn to when working with brass. Hex nut on the bottom of the shaft. To be honest I never thought before buying that my screwdriver would actually need a hex nut on the bottom, but now that I have it I'll see if I ever need one. seems like a nice feature but haven't tested it yet. I'm sure there are others, so I'm sure it's not a bad feature. - leather cap. Nice touch and reminiscent of some of my vintage screwdrivers. It's not very thick so let's see how it holds up. What I don't really care about: - The inscriptions/logos on the grips are not engraved/stamped on the grip, just printed in ink. This means that it will be deleted and in a few years you will no longer be able to determine the make and type of the screwdriver (e.g. if you want to resell it). Then put UPC/SKU on the handle? In my opinion, this is not a very pleasant touch. I'll probably apply a few coats of shellac and then urethane to keep the markings on the grip, but remove the UPC/SKU first. The stamped logo is the only thing stopping me from classifying them as "old school" and while others may disagree, that's why I gave it one star. Everything else in this screwdriver screams quality, and then they mark it in ink. That's what I expect from cheaper drivers. One thing I'm still not sure about - do they have a lifetime warranty or a fifteen year warranty? The advert is conflicting - the summary above says 15 year warranty but the details say lifetime warranty? what he This should be fixed, conflicting information is not a good marketing strategy and I think the warranty on this product has been reduced which is not a good signal. Also, most companies don't last forever, so lifetime warranties don't usually bother me. but at least it signals that the company believes in the quality of the product. In general, the screwdriver is good. Thank you for reading!
