Bikes, planes and cars, actually, but that doesn't sound particularly flashy for a headline. Seriously, the RAM X-Grip universal phone holder with ball did a great job of securely holding my iPhone XS Max in three different uses. On my bike I use a RAM Tough-Claw clamp base with a ball and dual RAM socket composite mount to hold the phone. The combination of two balls and a double socket holder allows you to position your phone at an optimal viewing angle, while a rubber cable provides additional security. The X-Grip holds my phone securely during 3.5G aerobatics with a screw base ball and dual socket lever. I didn't want to use a windshield suction cup or vent mount in my car and there wasn't any other suitable surface to attach the suction cup to, so I made a holder that sits in my console using a wooden base that I attached it to attached a ball with screw base, two brackets for double lever and RAM adapter for double ball. Using two mounts and an adapter allowed me to precisely position the X-Grip to provide a good viewing angle while still allowing access to the controls on the dash. The fact is that the RAM system offers enormous flexibility in the choice of base, brackets and mount. that provide a secure mount for your expensive devices.
