These holders are very light (like textured plastic) but the base is so wide and strong that it is very difficult to tip over. The glasses fit well, are soft and smooth on the inside with no weird fur on the inside, and the holder can be flipped forward or sideways depending on how much space you have on your desk or bedside table. Very nice for the price.
