Review on ๐Ÿšด Maxxis RAMBLER-700x45C Unisex Adult Tyre: Exceptional Performance in Black, 700x45C Size by Erick Bowers

Fast movement with good grip

Installed a Rambler 700 x 45c 60-ply on the front of my Specialized Sirrus X 4.0. When the 45c was installed, the Rambler was 42.1mm wide on my 21mm rims, but after a few rides it increased to 44.6mm. I run it with a tube and it installs easily with no mounting lever. The round profile helped my bike roll smoothly into corners, and the tire transition into lean angle is much better than the less-predictable, smooth-center Pathfinder. However, the limited shoulder lugs give it less cornering grip than the WTB Riddler, so I moved the Rambler to the back of my bike as it rolls a bit faster than the Riddler I now ride on the front. The Rambler profile and rubber compound ensure excellent cornering grip on asphalt and concrete paths. It rolls almost as fast as the Specialized Pathfinder and has better pavement grip than the Pathfinder and Riddler. The short Rambler pimples offer a good level of damping and remain virtually silent on asphalt and concrete. Even under maximum pressure when driving on the road, the Rambler virtually eliminates small impacts for the driver through cracks and expansion joints. The tread pattern and Rambler tires make it a surprisingly fast coaster. Overall, the Rambler is great for gravel and light trails in dry conditions, both front and rear. Handling in the mud is pretty unsteady and it's not the best front end for single track. But when I put it on the back of my bike with a Riddler 45c on the front, I did a PR on almost every section of my favorite Strava track. I earned 3 KOM on concrete and gravel sections and am currently #2 out of 3900 riders in a fast and twisty dirt sprint with -4% grade. It grips well on the climbs and drifts predictably into corners. great tyre.
