Review on πŸ”© Blum 33.3600 Compact 33 Face Frame Hinge: 110 Degree Opening, Zinc Die-Cast (Pack of 10) by James Auzenne

Poor quality, good for hardware

About 10 years ago the previous owner remodeled the kitchen I own now and installed the cabinets with 23 of these hinges. During this time, 9 loops (40%) failed. Is it unreasonable to expect a metal hinge to last the life of a cabinet? Or at least 10 years? What happens is the plastic parts become brittle and break, and then the hinge won't stay open and/or closed. I didn't want to repurchase this brand but was concerned that a different brand would not fit the inserts in the closet doors. - Use them as new hinges do not come with screws.
