Review on πŸ”ͺ Enhanced Freud 12" x 72T Thin Kerf Sliding Compound Miter Saw Blade (LU91R012) - Elevating Performance and Precision by Marco Cervantes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The odd width is stated in the advertisement and directly on the blade.

Nice blade. I was about to install it when I read the "Full Cut" printed on the blade, which lists the width measurements (why does it show size in three different units?). So I'm not looking at the functional quality of the blade at the moment. just dimensional confusion. See my picture of the blade where I circled the THIN notch in the large stripe and the FULL notch in the small rectangle. That's the biggest confusion, but there's more! My next picture is the official spec from a promotional copy claiming a kerf of .090 inches (three significant digits). Then you look at the blade pressure and they called it .091. " kerf. They also claim it's 3/32 (.094") and 2.3 mm (.091", right!). Well, the kicker of course. Its actual value is .093". So we officially declared the latitude (again using its own significant digits): 0.0900,0910.094, which is 0.903. And yes, I am *fully* aware of how small the difference is. But WHY do they list so many different sizes, and why (and how?) do they claim a thin and full kerf on the same blade that clearly measures the nominal "thin" kerf?
