Ideal for use with French boots!
When screwed into a wall without bolts, the bottom head sits flush against the wall and acts as an anchor, creating a much smaller hole. The top has just the right amount of clearance to securely hang a piece of art or to wall mount anything with a French rod. I've been using them for years and nothing I've ever mounted this way has fallen off these screws. I hung large, heavy 4" x 6" panels with cradles and crossbars on just two of them, and the bottom heads won't let them slide out of the wall!
