Review on Lutron PD-15OUT-BL Smart Plug for Outdoors in Black by Cameron Kennedy

I love Lutron Caseta products so was excited when this outdoor connector hit the market. It's very durable, with wires long enough to easily pull it out of a used outlet and then connect it to the load with a twist-and-seal cable that ensures a solid connection. It connects easily to the Lutron Caseta ClearConnect system (which can then be controlled via Hubitat) and works quickly. However, there are much cheaper Z-Wave and Zigbee options that may not be as elegant or robust, but work well. I ended up returning this model and going for the GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart Outdoor Switch instead, which was so much cheaper. I needed two outdoor witches, so I could justify the extra expense of a Lutron switch. Again, I love Lutron Caseta products and this is definitely a good product. If you must adhere to the Caseta ecosystem, this switch is for you. But if you have some flexibility I would recommend choosing another option if you can.
